Feelings are not a side component of a life well lived; they are essential ways we live as a whole, embodied being.”

Erica Genova

Registered Social Worker  |  BSW,MSW, RSW

  • Erica creates an environment where individuals can safely explore and unpack their experiences. Her eclectic practice incorporates Trauma-Informed Practice, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Person-Centred Therapy. She encourages clients to go at their own pace, emphasizing that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, as each person brings unique strengths. Collaboratively, Erica and her clients develop a plan that resonates with them. Erica’s approach to therapy is down-to-earth and relatable. She brings her authentic self and humour (when appropriate) into sessions.

Over the years, Erica has served various communities across different settings, including schools, non-profit organizations, and private practice. She has experience in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, boundary setting, coping strategies, grief and bereavement, end-of-life planning, and support for survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. Erica primarily works with teens (15+), emerging adults (18-29), and adults.

Outside of her professional life, Erica enjoys reading, cooking, following Formula One Racing, attending football games in all weather, and traveling. She engages her creativity through canvas art and mixed media projects, and she continues to refine her skills in making homemade pasta and trying out new recipes.
